WHAT MAKES THE WORKSMAN MOVER THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR INDUSTRIAL USE

The Worksman Mover is the latest in a long line of The World’s leading industrial tricycles. We’ve taken the time-proven features of our Worksman Business Cycle System and added some new touches to create a near perfect industrial vehicle. Make no mistake about it; the Worksman Mover Series is totally different from any other brand on the market today. If you are in the market for real industrial tricycles that will perform reliably, safely and economically year-in, year-out, here are a few key points using straight talk to consider:

FRAME

    Mover Frames are fully welded one-piece frame designs (as opposed to bolt together designs used on recreational models and other so-called industrial tricycles).  The mainframe beam is 12-gauge 2.25" diameter. The seat-mast tube is ¼" thick wall steel, the crank housing is reinforced. This frame makes other so-called industrial tricycle brands look like the toys they are.

REAR AXLE

    Mover rear axles are 7/8" machined solid steel. This insures a long lasting drive wheel system even under incredible loads. The axle is mounted to the frame via three independent adjustable industrial plate bearings often used on heavy machinery in factories. The drive hub is machined with a ¾" thick slotted bushing to accommodate the matching woodruff key slot on our machined axles creating an incredibly durable, long lasting drive system. Axles are 33.25" long, creating a wide tracking, stabile ride. (Note –Stretch Mover Axle is 34.5" wide). Compare this to other so-called industrial brands that utilize 5/8" axles that are held on the frame through a series of cheap cartridge bearings. Honestly, there is no comparison. The Worksman Mover is a true industrial machine, the other brands on the market are toys!

WHEELS

    Worksman Mover Tricycles feature the exclusive WTC Clincher rims that are made of steel that is 50% thicker than any other bicycle rim. You read that correctly…50% thicker! The rim design is a Worksman exclusive and has a rolled edge and 36 dimpled spoke holes for added strength. The spokes are 11g (.120) with brass nipples. For those that want an even more indestructible rim, Worksman Movers are available with our own hand welded Steel Mag rear wheels.

Wheels on Worksman Mover Tricycles are simply more durable than normal bicycle wheels utilized on other so-call industrial brands. Thicker rims, heavier gauge spokes and more durable hubs pretty much tells you all you need to know. Each wheel is trued both by machine and by hand by our experienced American Craftsman.

We even offer Steel Mag Welded Rear Wheels for all Mover Tricycles…..notice we said steel mag wheels…not light duty plastic wheels offered by others. Just another example of the difference between a Worksman Mover Industrial Tricycle and a glorified recreational cycle that other companies market as "industrial".

BRAKES

    We offer choices (see choice section below), but the most common configuration comes standard with an automotive type Front Drum Brake and Rear Coaster Brake. This is an ideal system as the front drum brake is perfect for gradually slowing down while the coaster brake is great for quick, sure stopping. This allows the rider the flexibility to slow down during turning maneuvers while having the ability to stop very quickly when needed.

CHAINS AND DRIVE SYSTEM

    Worksman Mover Tricycles do not use ordinary 1/2x1/8" chain that you’ll find on most other brands, but rather 1/2x3/16" drive chains for added tensile strength. The Front sprocket is also 3/16" thick for added strength.  Simply put, Worksman chains and sprockets are 50% thicker then those used on most other brands.

SEAT-POST AND SEATS

    No other tricycles come with solid steel seat-posts…that’s right…solid steel rather than tubular. These are ideal for heavier riders and let’s face it, there are some hefty riders in factories that may ride a trike. The solid steel seat-post is a great safety feature. It is also easy to adjust the height of the seat on Mover Tricycles with an easily accessible single square head bolt. Worksman Movers Tricycles come standard with a very thickly padded wide seat to insure the comfort of the rider.

CARRYING CAPACITY

    The Worksman Mover is built to carry loads. The standard models come with heavy gauge steel rear platforms measuring approximately 23x22". The Stretch Mover Platform (which is suspended onto leaf springs) is 38x26". Movers are available with optional lockable ear cabinets or perforated steel cargo baskets. We are very conservative in listing carrying capacities (500 pounds), but basically if you can pedal it, the Mover can hold it! Keep in mind that even if you do not intend to haul extremely heavy payloads, the fact that the Mover can hold this type of weight is indicative of the industrial nature of these vehicles and insure you of move reliable use under any loads. These vehicles are built "Worksman Tough" and that means a safer and more reliable vehicle that economy models. You also will learn quickly how useful and easy it is to haul heavier items on a Worksman Mover.

OTHER FEATURES

At Worksman Cycles we are always looking at ways to improve our tricycles. Recently we added the center axle support bearing system as standard equipment on all Movers to reduce axle flex. We added a support gusset to our crank housing. We’ve just introduced a new, even more durable front fork and an upgraded lockable hand brake lever (yes, parking brakes are standard on Worksman Movers). The crank is forged and we even use our own tire design…the WTC Sup-r-tire. As stated earlier, the Mover is an industrial machine rather than a toy.

CHOICES

    At Worksman Cycles we know that not all riders or all riding goals are the same. That is why we offer a varied list of optional equipment and configurations. Because me make each Worksman Mover at our own American factory, we can offer a selection of styles and options that can satisfy any need. Unlike imported brands that come one way, Worksman offers real choice. Here are just a few examples:

WHEEL SIZE: The Movers with 20" wheels have more starting torque and a lower center of gravity.  The Movers with 26" wheels offer greater pedaling efficiency.

TIRE UPGRADES:   We offer two exclusive Worksman Tire Upgrades.  For factories where flat tires are inevitable, the Worksman  Nev-r-Fail Solid Rubber Tire is the answer. These tires are especially designed to fit perfectly and securely onto the standard Worksman Clincher rims. This is a true no maintenance option. We also offer the  WTC Sup-r-Tire in a Kevlar version which helps to stop penetration flats. Air tires are available with upgraded puncture resistant tubes.

GEARING:   All Worksman Movers are available with a choice of single speed or three speed. In addition, we offer different choices of front sprockets so that you can tailor the ride to your preferences. For example, in a facility where heavy loads are going to be moved, but the safety director wants low speeds, the Mover M2020-CB with a 28 tooth front sprocket would be a good choice. In another situation where great distances need to be covers with some slight inclines, the M2626-3CB (three speed model) with the standard 36 tooth front sprocket is the way to go. At Worksman Cycles, the choice is yours.

COLORS AND APPEARANCE:  Movers come in three standard colors…Gloss Ebony Black, Safety Yellow or Safety Orange. We also offer 8 optional colors and will even custom paint two-tone upon request. This may not seem important, but imagine a facility with 50 tricycles. Wouldn’t it be ideal to color code tricycles by department or rider? Or how about an airline that uses tricycles on the Tarmac…why shouldn’t the tricycle match the company colors? The Worksman Mover Series is impressive both in terms of performance and appearance and shows your employees that you choose the best equipment to insure their safety and satisfaction.

The "Gone Fishing Trike" won an award at a recent design competition using the basic Worksman Mover M2020-CB painted in one of our 11 colors (polar white) with welded mag rear wheels, a custom wooden rear carrier (supplied by the customer/designer) mounted to the standard steel platform, WTC White Wall Sup-r-tires, Extra wide saddle, white painted front rim (yes we offer rims in standard chrome plate as well as custom painted), painted fenders (once again, we offer optional rear fenders either in bright chrome plate or painted). The Other tricycle shown was made as part of a fleet for a leading food service organization and has contrasting colors and shows the M17350J jumbo rear cabinet option with optional graphics package. Worksman tricycles are ideal for delivery services in urban environments and can actually attract lots of positive attention and branding opportunities. while the worksman mover is primarily designed for industrial use at factories, warehouses and facilities, they are also great for delivery services, event marketing and other special uses.

VALUE:   The Worksman Mover is very reasonably priced, but certainly not the lowest priced tricycle on the market. We too offer tricycles for half the price. SAFETY AND RIDE CHARACTERISTICS:   All of the features we list translates into a cycle that is simply more sturdy than any other on the market today. The rear axles are wide for greater stability. The ride is far more solid…..The Worksman Mover gives a true, stabile and solid ride. Mover Tricycles can hold the heaviest riders, so your company will not face a situation where a heavy rider gets onto a cycle which is not rated for a great enough weight.  Since Worksman Movers are so durable, there is less chance for failure.
